Fight, Flight, or Freeze?

Actually, this term is used in war related phrases but, what if we apply it to our life? How can we use all these three options in life? Here is my view to tackle such situations.

In life, the crisis comes in without Notice!

Recently, after the earthquake which rocked Turkey and Syria, many lost their wealth, Property, and lives too. There were depressive scenes all over.
What options does one have in such situations?

Some gather courage enough to fight the situation.
Some could not face it and decided to run away, Flight.
Some are confused and hence are non-committal, Freeze.

If you ask anybody about the best option, the majority of them will advise you to Fight. They will curse the ones who Flight while being sympathetic to the ones who Freeze.

But, in situations where your chances of winning are nil, is Fighting a sensible option?

‘Live to fight another day’ is a famous phrase. Surviving today, and with favorable conditions, one day, in the future, you will win.

Cheteshwar Poojara is the backbone of India’s Test Cricket Team. He has assumed this position by defending the whole day long, without making runs, but keeping his wicket intact.
Shivaji Maharaj, in Agra, under house arrest by Aurangzeb, had made the Mughal Emperor believe that he had Frozen. Neither Fight nor Flight was an option. We all know the final result.

Thus we conclude, to win a War, we should have all three options in our arsenal, Fight, Flight, and Freeze.

Only if we survive today, will we win the War tomorrow!
